Motel Miramar is situated in a tranquil position overlooking the Nambucca River. Our rooms offer views across our lovely gardens through to the river and the ocean beyond. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean in the distance and wake to the sound of native birds in our garden.

Motel Miramar provides great value for money and a relaxing, welcoming experience. Our guests particularly love our comfortable triple sheeted beds, our enormous, soft, fluffy bath towels and the beautiful views.  The majority of our rooms and apartments are beautifully appointed with stunning solid Acacia timber floors, art deco style designer furnishings and recently updated bathrooms.

A range of room configurations are available including queen, twin, ground and first floor apartments & family rooms, disability accessible rooms and a 3-bedroom apartment. Many of our rooms offer beautiful views of the Nambucca River through to the ocean beyond.

We are happy to assist in accommodating larger groups, including sports groups, wedding parties and family reunions. We can also organise breakfast and meal packages for groups through the adjacent Nambucca Heads RSL.

The word ‘Miramar’ means ‘sea-view’ and, with the motel perched on a cliff overlooking the mouth of the Nambucca River, most of our rooms offer lovely views over our beautiful tropical gardens to the river and ocean.  Ideal for a picnic or to relax and read a book.

The manager, Opal was so wonderful, helping us charge our EV overnight, and ensuring our stay was enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised by Motel Miramar! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the wonderful nature feeling — the property is surrounded by beautiful greenery, with excellent light and fresh air flowing through. It truly feels like a peaceful escape where nature is right at your doorstep.
The rooms are bright and airy, and you can really sense the connection to the outdoors. What really stood out was the manager — she was super attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Her hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-connected motel with great service, Motel Miramar is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Stayed at motel last month on way up to Brisbane. Helpful staff, comfortable renovated room, walked down to the V-Wall to look at the family messages painted on rocks and Mrs & I had a fantastic dinner at the pub/restaurant there as sun went down.
Motel staff helped me with charging the new EV via their new charging station - the first time that if managed to get this done at a hotel! Very happy with that.

A beautifully restored building with every detail considered, obviously a labour of love for the owners. Clean, comfortable, value for money, considerate staff and rooms for the fit (upstairs) and less able (downstairs). Conveniently located between the RSL (which provides free delivery of reasonably priced meals to your room) and a beautiful seaside vista. Plenty of delightful wildlife such as birds and water dragons can be found in the back garden. My recent visits have been overnighters while travelling but this hotel will be the destination on my next visit. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room, perfect location and amazing service, I left at 4.45am and accidentally left my work van keys in my room after locking it up and putting the keys in the lock box, the night manager raced over and helped my with no hesitation, mistake in my part but the service in regards to helping was amazing, will be coming here on my holidays for sure!!!

Motel Miramar is honestly a little piece of heaven. After a tiring drive from the Gold Coast, we were completely blown away by how beautiful the location is and the views from our room to the river and ocean were simply stunning. We stayed in a family room which was so comfortable for my husband, myself and our three older children. There is not one thing I could fault about the room - super comfortable beds, excellent A/C and fans, huge fridge and 2 TVs and a stunning balcony to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. I only wish we could have stayed longer! This place is an absolute gem.

Stunning view from balcony out to sea. Proprieter’s & staff were welcoming & always had a cheery smile. The unit was clean, well-stocked with tea, coffee & bikkies, plus the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again as the motel was so close to shopping amenities but not on a busy stretch of road.

Only one night, but had a very restful sleep on a very comfortable bed and good room. The views of the river from the back of the motel are wonderful and the gardens make it serene, green and peaceful. Room is well serviced with an adequate fridge for overnight stay, very nice crockery and cutlery if you want to eat in and good TV that works well and has heaps of channel and digital choices. Small setting outside so we could sit in the pool and watch the river at Sunset. Will come again.

The location of the motel is fabulous perched high up overlooking the river below and out to Nambucca Heads.
The rooms open onto or overlook the manicured lawns and gardens. There are chairs on the verandahs and picnic benches to use. The free BBQ area has fabulous ocean and river views.
At night you can hear the ocean waves rumbling. The rooms have full security doors and screens and a window to open. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this little piece of paradise and would stay here again.

Our two overnight stays at Motel Miramar Nambucca Heads on our way to and home from Queensland, was an enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of serenity and comfort that instantly put us at ease.
The room was impeccably clean, and the beds were soft and promised a restful night's sleep after a long day of driving. The water views from the windows were mesmerising and drifting off to sleep, serenaded by the soothing symphony of the ocean, was a delightful experience.

At the end of a 6-hour drive from Sydney, I needed to stay somewhere quiet. Having not booked anywhere, Nambucca was the exit I took. Spoke to a couple of locals who suggested the Miramar Motel.
Well, from the outside it looked very ordinary. But I needed to crash. WOW, what a surprise. Art Deco, with an amazing view of the river and the ocean. Room 16. Bliss. And has the RSL next door.
